by Indy car driver Danica Patrick, Danica explains that if you really
want something and you work hard at it, you can succeed. A
friend told me the other day about a man who had been called to China
20 years ago but has never gone. If you have a calling from God, and if
you work hard at it, it WILL come to pass: in one way or another. Indy car driver, Danica Patrick, also describes how her father taught her to have fun. That’s what your calling in Messiah Jesus is about: Having fun, enjoying your work for God. Yes, suffering is a part of our calling.
WHEN I WAS ARRESTED AND LATER WAS STABBED WITH A KNIFE I was arrested while preaching one time, but nine (9) people were saved in the jail.
While I was out of jail awaiting my court trial I was stabbed in the
abdomen by two men. I had several holes I my intestines and would have
died but God sent a man I did NOT know - and who did NOT know me - to
pray for me, and I was miraculously healed. I
had several tubes running in and out of my body and, also, a nurse
stationed full time at my bedside. A man who was in a laundromat in Los
Angeles heard about me being stabbed. He did NOT know me, but the Holy
Spirit told him to go to the hospital and pray for me. At that time
there were 2,500 rooms in the hospital and I was on the 9th floor in
the 9300 ward. I
remember coming to consciousness and it was like God and the Holy
Angels were on my right side, and the devil and demons were on my left
side trying to suck my soul out of my body. I was tempted just to let
go and die, enjoying the drugs flowing through me that were helping to
subside my suffering. I will never forget these words: God said to me, “Get command of this situation.” I knew what He meant. I had to get command of the situation mentally. I prayed and said, “God,
I know you can heal long distance, but if you will just send someone to
lay hands on me and pray for me, I KNOW I will be healed." A
while later – I do not know if it was minutes or hours – a man came
walking into the ward (where there were about 15 people who had been
shot, stabbed, attacked). I was the worst case there and, as I
mentioned, was the only one with a nurse stationed by my side full
time. The man came to my bed and said these EXACT words: “Brother, the LORD Jesus raised me from the dead one time, and He has sent me to pray for you that you might be healed.” Then he laid his hands upon my head and said, “LORD Jesus, heal my brother.” After that, he turned around and walked out. I walked out a few days later after the LORD had saved eleven (11) people in that hospital ward (including nurses). If
you want to know the POWER of Messiah’s resurrection, you have to
experience His suffering. I had, previous to the time I was stabbed,
preached a lot on resurrection, but NEVER about suffering. I
do NOT want suffering. Maybe some people do. However, the Word of God
teaches that it is a part of our organic union with Messiah so that we
may KNOW Him and the POWER of His RESURRECTION. Work
hard to attain the ministry you desire: the work God Almighty has
placed in your heart. As Danica Patrick mentioned in her book, enjoy what you do. Real estate tycoon, Donald Trump, says the same thing: enjoy what you do. You will enjoy the ministry God has given you … even through trial and suffering. The JOY of the LORD is your strength. If
you can NOT go through suffering and trial and hardship by God’s grace
and through the POWER of His resurrection, then you can NOT progress to
the next step of love, productivity, and forgiveness. I have long ago
forgiven the men who stabbed me. After they stabbed me they even held
the knife to my face with the blood upon it so I could see it. I prayed
for them right there and put two little red Bibles in their hands. They
are probably preachers now. I
have a large scar where I was stabbed, but it has been 39 years and two
weeks since then. I am still alive serving God, and having FUN …
experiencing JOY … serving the ONE Who called me into His service. I started this podcast talking about my favorite female race car driver, Danica Patrick. Another female race car driver, Lyn St. James,

It is my objective in this podcast to describe each mandate in practical order, and to explain the purpose, responsibility, and reward associated with each one as it relates to you. THE MASTERY MANDATE
We, as Christians, are responsible to God to be involved in activities that fulfill the purpose for which God has called us: be it as an engineer, a housewife and mother, a doctor, a minister, an attorney . . . whatever ways are suitable and proper. "And whatsoever
ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that
of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye
serve the Lord Christ." [Colossians 3:23] We must be not only good students but also good stewards of the processes involved in our calling(s). To be a good steward has as a prerequisite first being a good student. There is a period of apprenticeship to every field, even for entrepreneuers. We have to learn by investigation, study, trial and error, and experience. This is foundational if we are to be MASTERS of EXCELLENCE . . . and if we are to perform excellently for The Master!
This is why we have developed the advanced leadership, missions and
church growth department at The University of Excellence. For more

comprehend . . . to perceive mentally and through creative
brainstorming . . . the earth and its processes or society and its
interrelationships where they are relative to our respective fields of
endeavor. MUSIC We must then prayerfully apply this knowledge in order to subjugate the earth and have dominion over it. We
are mandated to "subdue and have dominion" over the earth. This mandate
is for Christians and non Christians alike: it is for humankind . . .
men and women created in God’s image. However, how much
more should God’s people function in this responsibility. A Christian
working a non religious occupation or vocation should be as steadfast
in both their efforts and ethics as a missionary or pastor. To such a
person the blessings of God will be extended for faithful stewardship. THE MISSION MANDATE "And Jesus came
and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and
in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I
am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." [Matthew 28:18-20] "And he said
unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that
believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with
new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly
thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and
they shall recover." [Mark 16:15] While "subduing and having dominion" over the earth on our callings we, as Christians, are also to be "witnesses" for Christ in our various vocations or avocations. Teaching and writing are vital aspects in fulfilling both the Mastery and the Mission Mandates. Actually, the Mission Mandate is the Second Earth Mandate to be carried out only by Christians. Christ created the whole world and also is "upholding all things by the word of His power." [Hebrew 1:3] In the new earth
"there will be no more curse" [Revelation 21:27] and it is our job to
inform people of this . . . and how they can participate in its
blessings. Jesus shed His BLOOD "to take away the sin of the world" and remove the curse brought about by Adam’s disobedience. The Mission Mandate will not be carried out in the new earth because God’s people will be serving the Lord with joy. "There shall no wise enter into it anything that defiles." [Revelation 21:27] MUSIC THE MILLENNIAL MANDATE "For our
homeland is in heaven; and it s from there that we are expecting a
Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our humble bodies, and
fashion them [give them a form] like his own glorious body, according
to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto
himself." "Because the
creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption
into the glorious liberty of the children of God." [Romans 8:21] "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10] The Millennial
Kingdom (the Kingdom of God on Planet Earth) will transition and flow
into the Ultimate Kingdom of Heaven and of God. In John Chapter 14, Jesus promised to "go prepare a place for you . . . that where I am, there you may be also." Abraham "looked for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God."
[Hebrews 11:10] Referring to those of God’s servants who had previously
fought the good fight of faith, the Bible says that God was "not ashamed to be called their God: for He has prepared for them a city." [Hebrews 11:16 Jesus told one of the thieves on the cross, "Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." The Apostle Paul describes an experience he had as follows: "caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words . . ." [2 Corinthians 12:4] I was recently at an Indian church where the pastor had described how he had died twice and was caught up into Heaven! MUSIC The tree of life is
in the paradise of God. Read Genesis 3:22. Evidently the paradise that
Adam and Eve defiled will be restored . . . AND will be even better:
there will be many trees lining the banks of the great river. "He that has an
ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches. To him that
overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life which is in the midst
of the paradise of God." [Revelation 2:7] "And he showed
me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of
the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it,
and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare
twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the
leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall
be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it;
and his servants shall serve him." [Revelation 22:1-2] The city will be about 1,500 miles wide, 1,500 miles long, and 1,500 miles high. Look on a map of your country and find two cities that are about 1,500 miles apart (or, 2,400 kilometers). Actually, the exact dimensions will be 1,380 miles in each of the three dimensions (a little over 2200 kilometers). Revelation 21:16 informs us it will be 12,000 furlongs [Greek "stadios’] in each dimension. The streets of the city are made of pure transparent gold. [Revelation 21:18-21] "But as it is
written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love
him." [1 Corinthians 2:9] While you are here on Planet earth, do your best to fulfill the Mastery Mandate and the Mission Mandate. Then you will be blessed abundantly:
The Master will say to you: "Well
done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few
things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your
lord." [Matthew 25:21] Notice . . . in Luke 19:17, the parallel passage, the word "cities" is used for the areas over which you will have authority! YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A WONDERFUL FUTURE! THE SECRET
Do you know your goals for God every day when you get up in the morning?
Or do you have to struggle mentally to interfuse them with your daily
schedule. Maybe you are a housewife, or a businessman, or construction
worker. Whatever your vocation in life, your REAL JOB (that is, your spiritual job description) was defined before the foundation of the world.
No, I am not talking about serving God by living holy or being a witness for Christ; these are definitely part of the lifestyle of a real follower of Jesus: one who has had an actual rebirth spiritually at a specific point in time and space. I'm talking about fulfilling the occupational part of your ministry, or more correctly, God's ministry through you. You will never know this until you have spent a life defining period either alone with God or (in the case of a busy mother) in a time of consecration with God. Your spiritual occupation will define your life goals (both major and minor) and help you in your decision making processes (both major and minor): both long-term and daily. After you begin operating in your spiritual occupation, the LORD will from time to time revise or add to your responsibilities as you develop and show proof to Him of successful stewardship. (Matthew 25:14-30) He may even instruct and lead you into a completely different spiritual occupation after a period of time. This is why we need to have times of refreshing that the Holy Bible mentions. You must take off the wraps when you are seeking direction from God and instructions for your life and spiritual occupation. Do not be afraid to THINK BIG. Realize that God may have something in mind for you that you have never considered or thought of. That is where obedience comes into play. Also, do not share your instructions from God with other people to get feedback. If you KNOW it is God … and if it lines up with the Word of God … then DO IT! Lots of people have been led off the path of the will of God for their life by weird people … and even by two or three confirmations of a wrong thing by weird people. By weird people I am talking about people who have no real productivity in their lives but who are always prophesying falsely to other people. This is why you need to start every day by reading and communicating with God in His Holy Word and then in prayer. God has thoughts ABOVE your thoughts. His thoughts are NOT your thoughts. "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." [Isaiah 55:8-9] This is where, again, it is important to take off the wraps! Do not just think outside the box! God is not limited to three dimensions, or even to time and space. Just read His Word and LISTEN! Just talk to Him and LISTEN. Just pray in tongues and LISTEN! This is why Ephesians 3:20 tells us that our Heavenly Father is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. That POWER in us is the energizing of our inner man by the renewing of the Word of God and the anointing by the Spirit of God as we listen, receive by faith, and obey. Here is where many people miss the mark: OBEY. We may be students of the Word, some even professors of theology in graduate schools; however, we may miss the mark of obedience. And, missing the mark is equated with sin. We can be obedient in lifestyle and witness; however, when God directs us to take a definitive life style changing move, are we obedient? Changing cultural settings or leaving our comfort zones are examples of such. Isaiah tells us that the Word of God will not return void. It will cause you to be PRODUCTIVE in your spiritual occupation and it will make the way for your PROVISION. You will be productive and God will provide for you! "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there. But they water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower [for production] and bread to the eater [for provision], so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth." [Isaiah 55:10-11] Spend time in the Word of God. It won't return VOID. It will accomplish in your life and in the earth (the nations of the world) what God pleases. God's Word will prosper in the purposes for which God sends it. Why not be a channel for His Holy Word. The Word of God shall not return to Him VOID, but it shall accomplish what He pleases, and it shall prosper in the thing for which He sends it. [Isaiah 55:10-11] The Hebrew word for VOID used in this passage is racham which means empty, without fruit or productivity. So if you want to know your spiritual occupation, and thereby make it a lot easier for your day by day decision making, if you want to know life at the fullest, the abundant life Jesus promised you, and if you want to be productive and see the provision of God in your life, then spend time in God's Word. Spend time in the Word of God: for your sake, and for the sake of God. What would you think if your children were so busy working but they never spent time with you? Many people in ministry are doing the same thing. Busy about God's work but spending very little time with God. When we do this we not only lose out on fellowship with the GREATEST PERSON in the universe but we lose out on our own productivity and provision. Spend time in God's Word: things will begin to click in your life. You will be in the center of the will of God. God will provide for you. You will be productive. You will have the joy of working at your REAL JOB: the occupational ministry God chose for you before the foundation of the world. Remember, the thoughts of God are higher than your thoughts. But ... you have to KNOW His Thoughts! The secret is in His Word!
